Sara Meinz (b. 1996) is a young photographer temporarily based in Galicia, Spain, where she grew up. With a background in cinematography, her body of work is rich in colours, candid and playful, and has the unique tenderness of a fresh gaze.

Sara approaches photography as a personal language that can express more easily what is often beyond words. Playing with light and with the particular characteristics of her subjects, she explores the landscape of the everyday, looking for visual puzzles and hidden messages in the ordinary. Each of her photographs explores the singularity of her subjects: from a pile of bricks to horses, human silhouettes or wildflowers, everything is portrayed thoughtfully and with the same attentive way of looking. The result is a collection of images that feel very close, sometimes even tangible, to the viewer.

With her work, Sara examines how we interact with one another and the relationships we establish with our environment, how all things, beings and places belong together.

She says: "I can't explain why, but if my pictures were words, they would all be in capital letters".
